Before I found Renee Stephen’s podcast on iTunes a few years ago, I had diabetes and high blood pressure. I was severely overweight and was very depressed. I couldn’t seem to make any diets work for me so I had started to believe people when they would tell me that maybe my body just liked the weight I was at. I was so miserable. I couldn’t participate in any of the sports activities I was interested in because I was too out of shape and it seemed like it would take a million years for me to lose the weight. Then I found the Inside-Out Weight Loss podcast. Renee didn’t mention dieting. She was the first person I had listened to who didn’t talk about how bad I had been eating. instead, her approach was positive and encouraging and actualy offered real hope that I could reframe my thoughts toward food and figure out why I was eating like I was. Just changing my thoughts about food and myself started to work almost immediately. I actually had a desire to exercise. I started to practice mindful eating and sat quietly after a meal and felt whatever emotion or physical symptoms the food had triggered in me. I was able to figure out what made me feel good and what didn’t. Along with eating healthy, I started a regularly scheduled walking workout routine and I lost 90 lbs! 2012 will be my 4th year of keeping the weight off! I am loving my new healthy slim body. Now I am able to do the outdoor activities that I love again! I am finally free from the emotional food rollercoaster and have reversed my diabetes and high blood pressure! Thank you Renee! This is a totally new way of approaching the endemic weight problem of this country and most people, getting back your self esteem and losing weight at the same time. Throw out the “diet” deprivation, yo yo dieting that most books have you following! Truly a breakthrough! Resolve to start the New Year becoming the new You!
This book is written in clear,concise language and feels like Renee Stephens is talking directly to you. She takes you step by step in becoming that slim person you’ve always wanted to be. She expresses in words what all overweight and lack of self-esteem people have been thinking. She hits it right on the nail.
She has been very successful in helping people with their issues..i.e. weight, et., self-esteem, etc. I myself have been helped by her to rid myself of that extra weight I had carried around.
Sure, I could lose the weight on any of these so called diets, but of course, it kept coming back. No More! I am slim and trim.

I just started week three of the Full-Filled program. I am down 5.8 pounds as of this morning. This lady knows her stuff.
Losing weight isn’t easy. But it also doesn’t have to be miserable. This book provides the key to understanding your motivations — both your motivations to eat and your motivations to lose weight — and making them work for you, instead of against you. This book isn’t a calorie-counter plan with a list of foods you must or must not eat, and that’s part of the genius of it. No matter what plan you are using to lose weight, Renee’s book makes a perfect companion, because it’s about dealing with all the stuff in your head that has made it so difficult for you in the past.
The book is presented like a workbook, complete with journaling assignments. If you want to get the most out of the book, do the assignments. You will be amazed and surprised at what you learn about yourself. Renee has a knack for getting right to the heart of the issues in a kind and supportive way that makes you feel comfortable with her, like she’s a good friend. Her words are also powerful. Some of the exercises in here were so powerful, they left me in tears. Those of us who struggle with our weight tend to carry a lot of emotional baggage with us. It’s an incredible release to feel some of that letting go.
I’ll update this review at the end of the six weeks and let you know how much I’ve lost. I have a long way to go and it will take much more than six weeks to meet all my goals. But that’s okay. I have every confidence that I can do it, and anytime I need a little extra help, I can turn to Full-Filled.
Edit: So I promised an update at the end of six weeks, and here we are! As of today I’m down 10.6 pounds. This past week held a lot of challenges, but I was able to apply the tools in the book to get through it and learn more about my limiting beliefs. I plan to continue cycling through the book, especially the chapters on EFT and limiting beliefs, since I think that’s where the key to my success lies.
