Question by Jennifer: A doctor in the Daytona Beach Florida Area that Prescribes Weight Loss Pills?
I would like to find a doctor in the Daytona Beach Florida Area that prescribes weight loss meds. I am not looking for one who just wants you to do shakes and vitamins nor do I need one to talk down to me. I am just looking for a little help and not a lecture.
Answer by J
No doctor is going to prescribe weight loss pills because they’re bogus. They don’t work. Pseudoscience.

Question by Rachel: I need a good weight loss boot camp near the Lakeland, Florida area.?
I am overweight and nothing I do seems to work. I know that I need to lose weight, but the only way I’ll buckle down and do it is if I have somebody telling me to do it. Tht doesn’t include my doctor or my parents.

No you don need a boot camp, you need to change your mindset – nobody can make you do it despite their shouting and yelling. Check out Tony Robbins audio books – v good

Hi proteins, low carb. Exercise–walking the best. Drink plenty of water, and/or limit sugary drink–they extremely high in carbs. Avoid fruit juices, the healthier the juice, the higher the carbs (we use to be huge fruit juice and juicing drinkers). We had to change that habit. Eat your fruits, and eat more vegetables too–green preferably.
My son lost 227lbs following the above and is still losing. It convinced me and I lost weight too.
You don’t need a camp, you need to establish a regiment that is a way of life. Every day. The above is everyday for my son. …and when he doesn’t have an appetite, he drinks a protein shake…I’ve done it too, because of my work schedule.

Question by Habinacal Josph: any weight loss camps in miami florida for children?
Answer by Skeptic
I’m sorry that I do not personally know of any weight loss camps in Florida for youngsters. Even so, the world wide web is great. Here’s a list:
I can not speak to the effectiveness of either camp, but I do suspect that the Pritikin principles would be extremely useful. I personally lost 80 pounds soon after a long struggle. My original approach was recommended by a physician who told me to carry out aerobic physical exercise 5 days a week for 50 minutes. I became an incredibly fit fat man. My appetite grew with my activity level, but I continue this level of exercise nowadays.
What worked for me was a complete plant based diet as recommended by Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Jr. Right after taking a class with the Seventh Day Adventists, I learned that I could kill my appetite by consuming a high fiber breakfast and lunch that consisted of leafy greens, complete grains (not commercially processed), and legumes (mostly sprouted and cooked beans). This high fiber and high plant protein diet at every single meal gave me enough sustenance to enable me to eat just two meals a day at breakfast and lunch. I no longer eat a dinner and I’m still losing a ton of ugly fat weight.
Of course you need to also eat whole fruit and colorful vegetables as nicely as B12 if you are a vegetarian. I shun dairy and other animal based foods. They are unnecessary and can have poor health consequences (Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Dr. Joel Fuhrman). I get lots of exercise, sunshine (for D3), and sleep. The motivation for staying on a healthy diet is how very good I feel when I avoid excess salt, sugar, fat (even vegetable oils), and commercial food additives. Food allergies are tricky, so that is why I stay away from the hundreds of ingredients added to commercial foods. Sadly, many of our foods, which includes soy and wheat are now genetically modified, and they do not want to share this on the label. MSG and aspartame (soda pop) are other ingredients that can trigger excess weight gain.
Please be cautious. Most commercial weight loss programs (even medically supervised) fail. It’s essential for your family members members to take charge of your way of life.
